After graduating and now practising as a passionate visual artist, Susan Woodfall has continued to hone her skills as an accomplished oil painter/mixed media and creative printmaker utilising photography and producing illustrations in graphite and charcoal as mediums that inspire.

The subjective approach to Susan's oil paintings is based on local urban and residential sectors past and present, the engaging charm of rural bushland, coastal seascapes and the people, flora/fauna living within these regions.  Her paintings are created in tonal realistic manner which gives her work a sense of movement and light.   These paintings are produced on fine french linen, fine paper and board.  Mixed media materials such as gold and silver leaf  are added to certain inspired paintings.

Susan's training and skill in printmaking has inspired many different works which reflect people of interest in portraiture, flora and fauna, commercial and rural landscapes.  Her works have been produced in oil and watercolour based inks utilising traditional techniques; soft/hard ground copper etching and multicoloured oil based inks on silk lino utilising the multi colour reduction printed process on delicate rice paper and quality stonehenge paper.   In addition, she has produced custom hand stitched artist books which are based on her local life and international travel experiences in multimedia full colour digitally printed techniques and printmaking copper etching techniques.

Susan is so inspired by life in the beautiful shire of Nillumbik as she continues to produce works associated with the Nillumbik region and strives for excellence with every new project.
